Jim and Rhonda Pla commenced operation of Pla Property in 1994. As Landlords themselves, they noted that management services offered did not meet the standard they expected. Communication is an important part of property management, as is stability of service offered.

Jim was born and raised in Ingham, North Queensland. He entered the Real Estate Industry in Cairns in 1978, and obtained his full Real Estate Licence in 1982. Prior to commencing Pla Property, Jim was in a joint partnership in a franchised company with two local offices. His knowledge in the local real estate market stems from years of experience.

Rhonda is a fifth generation local Cairns resident, she commenced her career in local government and later worked in the banking industry. In 1992 Rhonda obtained her Real Estate Agents Licence and joined Jim as property manager for the franchised city office. In 1994 the offices were sold and Pla Property commenced operation.

Shannae is the daughter of Jim and Rhonda. Upon completion of senior schooling she joined the family business and obtained her Real Estate Salesperson licence. In 2004 Shannae moved to the Gold Coast, gaining invaluable experience with some of the larger franchised offices. With the rapid growth of Pla Property, Jim and Rhonda coaxed Shannae home to rejoin the team in 2007. Shannae is a licenced Real Estate Agent.
